Sometime you just have to take a chance..

“I again saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the strong, and neither is bread to the wise nor riches to those of intelligence and understanding nor favor to men of ability; but time and chance overtake them all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11

When I tell you it has been a time!!! At this point in my career I’ve been the most calm I’ve ever been at the same time the most anxious I’ve ever been. I don’t even know how that is possible but that’s how I feel. I have so many things going on that I’m calm when I’m doing one thing but then after I do that thing for a while, I get anxious about the other thousand things that I have to get it done. But I found this space of grace for myself in the thought that I’m laying a brick day. And at some point that wall will get built, however long it takes.

I’m premiering the first episode of my Web series, ”Doing Too Much” which will serve as  the introduction to my style of comedy and what my series will be about. It is simply about the exaggeration of everyday life, kind of a Murphy’s law perspective. “What can happen will definitely happen for better or worse.” That’s how my life has been and honestly I wouldn’t have it any other way, so I wanted to display that through my art.

A term one of my good friends Luke St. John introduced me to years ago was the word Autodidact,which means a person who was entirely self-taught. That’s the story of how I got here. With this web series I’ve read and watched and listen to so many books, videos, video essays, and tutorials about filmmaking, cinematography, screenwriting, and everything that you could possibly think of that goes with film. I’ve literally been a sponge for the past maybe five months, all which have led me to where we are right now, with the first episode dropping this Friday.

I can share with you so much of the hardships I’ve experienced just getting to this point but that could make this blog entry way longer than it needs to be. So I’ll leave you with this….

You can do anything you put your mind and your spirit to. You don’t need permission from anyone to do anything. And the best thing you can do is just start. So this is the start and I’m so glad that we are finally here. Thank you for reading this and I hope you continue to keep up with me Ronny as I let you inside my mind.
